Wearing Safety Gear at Work
If you work in a dangerous environment, you are probably used to wearing safety gear at work. Safety gear is designed to protect you from all manner of hazards. Eye protection can protect your delicate eyes from little pieces of sharp debris that can injure or blind your face. Ear protection can prevent loud noises from causing hearing damage or deafness. Hard hats can protect the cranium in case of blunt trauma to the skull. Steel toed boots can prevent broken or severed toes if anything should drop on the foot. All of these safety devices are meant to protect vital parts of the body. There are other types of safety gear that make people more visible. For example, bright orange vest help a person stand out in a dark environment, letting other workers know where everyone is.
